Welcome to my virtual portfolio!

 

Let me tell you a little about me...

​

I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2008. Styling hair has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl, styling all of my barbies. Growing up, I always had my eye on hair and fashion. As soon as I was able to apply for cosmetology school in my junior year of high school, I  transferred from private school to public after I was accepted! That summer, My mom opened her hair salon in our neighborhood. She felt this was going to be a great way for me to learn the business and build my skills. Almost 2 years later, I graduated top of my class and started working as a full time artist at my  mom's salon (no more sweeping floors and washing hair). In the same year of graduating, I joined an agency that then led me to meet my future mentor, a celebrity hair artist.
 

As soon as possible I  started assisting my mentor side by side for the next 6 years working bridal, fashion commercial and editorial. During that time, I started my own bridal service business as well as learning the salon business from all angles. Here we are years later, Gina Marie Styling Studio is born! Right outside of New York City.
